It’s your Enterprise Asset Management system that controls your operating assets’ reliability, productivity, and performance
Set-up your Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system and processes from top-to-bottom with the precision quality standards that guarantee world class reliability and utmost asset productivity
CEO’s, Executives and Managers make their company’s plant and equipment world class reliable by building an Enterprise Asset Management system that delivers endless asset health and lifetime component wellness, thereby guaranteeing maximum production uptime. The best EAM systems ensure your people always reach the work quality standards that deliver exceptional uptime for the least maintenance and operating costs — thereby delivering utmost asset productivity, and producing new operating fortunes.
CEO’s and Executives get world class operating plant and equipment reliability by directing and stewarding their organization’s work quality standards so the operating assets are kept in continuous operating health and well-being. They get world class asset reliability by ensuring their EAM system is designed and built bottom-up with the work accuracy and precision quality for sure world class operational success.
EAM systems are complex and they will fail to get world class performance until they are designed, built, and installed as an integrated, holistic, life-cycle system-of-reliability. If you asked us to turn your EAM system into a system-of-reliability designed and built for maintenance, reliability and operational excellence, we would use the Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology.
Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology re-engineers your EAM system to ensure utmost reliability, leaset maintenance, and utmost operational success. Every CEO and Executive Team can now get their operating assets to world class reliability and realize new operating fortunes with PWWEAM solutions.
How to Re-engineer Your Enterprise Asset Management System for Utmost Success and Profit
There are many models used to describe an EAM system, several of them are shown below. Figures 1 to 7 are examples of enterprise asset management models available to companies to use in designing and developing their EAM system.
How well a model will work for your organisation depends on the nature of the organisation and its situation. It may be necessary to modify elements of a chosen model to better meet the needs of your organisation, but they all have a common problem: they are all designed from a Top-Down perspective. Meaning, Senior Management sets the EAM Policy and then hope the EAM System is somehow designed and implemented to achieve the Policy.
A Top-Down approach has no way to guarantee operational success — top-down EAM system design requires great amounts of guesswork by managers and engineers on what causes what effect between one level and the other. That problem is solved by reversing the design approach to a bottom-up construction. When you go from bottom-to-top there is no guessing because you already know the result that a cause will produce as its effects move up the structure. That’s why the Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology is bottom-up — by starting with an asset’s components it’s a sure way to guarantee world class asset reliability in operation. You can never get such accuracy and control with a top-down EAM methodology.

The good thing is that this makes it very easy and simple to observe whether a company’s EAM model, and the resulting EAM system designed on the model, achieve the aims of organisational success and profitability. You simply look at the organization’s operating history to confirm the presence of world class production success and profits. Unless an operation is already getting maximum operating asset performance and profitability today, right now, then something is wrong with their EAM system, and consequently something is missing in their EAM model.
EAM systems are developed with the intention to generate optimal operating asset performance and profits. That means the true measure of EAM success is the size of your operating profits. When physical assets in a company cannot get world class reliability, the EAM system is not delivering the utmost success and profits from the plant and equipment. That problem is now eliminated forever with the invention of the Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology.
Figure 8 is the newest of the EAM models, named the Plant Wellness Way (PWW). This EAM model is a bottom-up design. Its purpose and role is not to replace current EAM models, but to complement them, so that current EAM models will deliver world class operating assets. PWW EAM methodology identifies all the necessary details missing from an EAM system that operating assets need for outstanding lifetime reliability. PWW finds and puts all the missing content into your EAM system so it delivers world class reliable plant and equipment. You consequentially get large rises in operating profits from your now outstandingly healthy and highly productive assets.

When the two EAM system methodologies are combined—top-down EAM with bottom-up EAM—you arrive at the model in Figure 9. It shows how the Plant Wellness Way supports and complements all existing EAM models. When both are used together—your current EAM system supplemented with PWW—your company optimizes its asset management system, processes, and practices for operational excellence performance and profits.

Top-down Enterprise Asset Management models and systems proliferate the business world. Alone, they are unsuccessful at delivering the world class operating asset reliability needed for operational excellence. But merged with the bottom-up Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology, the two together address all the needs for reaching world class operating asset success.
The message to stress is that CEO’s and Executives have a new solution to get optimal performance and profits from their plant and equipment: add Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology and optimize the asset management system to deliver world class reliability. Senior Managers can now re-engineer their EAM system for maximum performance and profits. They can allocate resources and support to operational improvement, certain that the new answers put into their EAM system will bring lifetime reliability to their operating assets. They can be confident that the business results from integrating the PWW EAM methodology into their existing EAM system will appear in the coming months as new, rising operating profits. Those profits will continue to grow and grow is size during the years ahead, as their company, and the people in it, become world class enterprise asset managers.
