Start Discovering how to build a Plant Wellness Way Enterprise Asset Life Cycle Management SystemWelcome to the first slide in the series explaining how to build a Plant Wellness Way enterprise asset life cycle management system-of-reliability.

Throughout this course we interchange the name of the methodology commonly called Enterprise Asset Management with engineering asset management, and physical asset management, and asset life-cycle management. All these names are the same thing.

On the left of Slide 1 above, is the Plant Wellness Way logo. It’s an inverted triangle because PWWEAM methodology totally changes enterprise asset life cycle management system designing, development, and implementation. Building a Plant Wellness Way EAM system begins at the bottom of creation with some of the smallest items in the universe—the atomic microstructure in equipment parts. In PWWEAM, the reliability of parts microstructure is paramount.

The upside-down triangle in the middle contains a definition of what a Plant Wellness Way asset life cycle management system is. Simply, it is the right processes and practices used in operations and maintenance that gets you world-class asset reliability and production. You design, build, and embed those processes by starting from the scientific reasons—the physics-of-failure—as to why your machine parts fail. The PWWEAM methodology provides both the framework and the pathway to creating an asset life cycle management system and processes specifically for getting world class reliable plant and equipment. Decisions made in the Plant Wellness Way EAM methodology are based on scientific facts, business risk elimination, getting the utmost productivity, and profit-driven economics.
